Re: And now I am reviewing incorrectly
I honestly think if your objective is to bring high quality wayspots to Niantic Wayfarer's Lightship database, dumb it all the way down to tolerated. Just look through this thread of what they've imported all throughout and the remnants of Turkey. Anyone who extremely strongly argues about quality should get their head… -
Incorrect Duplication Appeals

In the area I live, we have many trail markers that appear similarly to others. Since they are semi-close together, these often get "duplicated" even when they are not. This is causing additional photos to be added to Wayspots that are completely different than the existing one, which alters the outcomes of certain games.… -
Re: Most Overused Portals
I don't agree with that because the interest of trail markers as wayspot is the fact they are located in natural area, and they are often the only eligible thing in places like forest. Of course have one every 100m is not the best thing, but refused all trail markers despite Niantic allow them as wayspot is worst. Once… -
How Many Months does it take for an Appeal via the button to be assessed?
I submitted two appeals last year for two different Way Spots I had submitted that had bene rejected. I have made over a hundred successful Way Spot nominations and so think I have a reasonable idea of what is and isn't valid. Is the appeal button process broken? surely it should not take months when (certainly around my… -
Re: I'm tired. So many rejections recently. Am I doing something wrong?
I had a look through these. Comments below. Wealdway Walk. Named trail marker is eligible BUT if there were identical trail marker signs on the nearby I would vote "1* - not visiually unique". Leigh Flood Barrier. Ineligible - meets no criteria as far as I can see. Why should this be a Waypoint? Straight Mile Bridge. It… -
Re: How to prove the location of my spot?
I would use the supporting text to guide reviewers through finding it in street view if possible. Something like, "Street view shows the road under the bridge. You can find this in street view by moving the pin about 20 meters south." (Made up, of course.) Alternately, I would call reviewers' attention to satellite view.… -
Re: Hiking Trails in Germany
If possible a good overview. For example with buildings or the shape of the trail and the marker on it. when i review and there is a medium-good overview picture I always accept those stops. Because I give the poster the benefit of the doubt. In my opinion it’s better to accept some fakes (wich can be deleted afterwards)… -
We need more appeals to counter bad AI rejections
Just had another auto-rejection - a pub, but it had a lot of foliage on the outside so it was rejected in a few hours by your faulty AI. The first, most obvious solution is to fix the shoddy AI. While it makes sense to nip some bad submissions in the bud to avoid wasting reviewers’ time, it’s way too over-aggressive. Some… -
Fixing misspelled, old, and messy titles
The following is a list of Wayspots in Bismarck, ND, USA that need a title clean-up. Several are misspelled, some are mislabeled, some just look messy, and some need to be a little more accurate/unique and consistent. I'll include photos when necessary to prove the need for a change, and include a small write-up for each… -
Re: turistic wooden signs- how are they fake?
I have accepted this, but unfortunately this is hard to get approved. Here is the problem. Even the "nice" trail marker signs with place names and distances have at best a 50% chance of approval. My last 2 were accepted one on 3rd attempt and the other on second attempt. And none of the people rejecting those "nice" trail…
