Re: I seriously dont know why I cant get this approved
I encourage you to check out the list here on things that you can get accepted: Your work is a hard sell to get approved to be honest. The big things to ask yourself is if the nomination aligns with the three big qualifications - Is it a good place for the average person to Explore, to get Exercise, or be Social at? So the… -
Re: Where to find this
@rpg4e-PGO Is the castle a private residence, meaning a single-family home? If so then it doesn't qualify. If not, is it physically accessible to anyone? Presumably someone can walk up and touch it be it maintenance staff, someone who works there, etc. Wayspots don't have to be open to everyone... only some members of the… -

Re: historic cemetery from 1817 not approved
From the guidance in Wayfarer for potentially confusing nominations: Cemeteries, Burial Grounds, and Gravestones Avoid nominations whose real-world locations appear to be cemeteries, burial grounds, or gravestones. Gravestones may be accepted, but only if the gravestone is publicly accessible and it belongs to a historical… -
Re: legitimate reasons or reviewer is just unsure?
This first statement is false. Community buildings at apartment complexes are eligible. They meet the social gathering place standards. An object does not need to be accessible by everyone at all times in order to have safe pedestrian access, it just needs to have safe access by some people. For example, there are many… -
Re: 69 portals on Boy Scout property, removal request rejected
Niantic - removing these per the original poster would be wiping out historic locations accessible to all persons related to scouting (which includes adults, Scoutmasters, families, and often the public - a very large segment of the population). This is not restricted to K-12 and is not a school. This is a very historic… -
Re: Invalid Wayspot Appeal
This is a perfect example of the difficulty tech companies face with having to enforce rules that apply across various jurisdictions. The important question is whether Niantic is concerned with Wayspots on private property based on how they function or what the local laws are. To your point, this clearly functions like a… -
Re: Acquatic Center Nomination Rejection
How about changing the object photo to the center building? During non-swimming seasons, the pool may not be accessible. If it's a center building, I think it's possible to access even in the season when swimming is not held. It would be nice to add that the university is free to enter and that the center is accessible…
