Re: How to improve this submission for a foot/vehicle bridge
I will see if I can get a "classic view" of the bridge, but the sides going down to the water are very steep. It was originally a stone bridge, but since it is the only way up the hill, construction trucks would use it and it was broken a couple of times. The construction company basically paid to cover the original bridge… -
Re: What motivates you to submit Wayspots?
I like exploring nature areas and submitting some of the cool stuff I find along my routes. The two large Federal and State Land complexes near me are spots where I've led birding groups on spotting trips, where I've scouted locations for birding competitions (yes, that's a thing!) and even won a contest or two along the… -

Re: Game Crashing after take a photo
If anyone experiences this issue on an iPhone, there is no way to change the photo resolution. This was said in the September AMA: Expanding remote nominations to Pokémon GO and allowing access to previously taken photos (i.e. photo galleries) to avoid image timeouts. We agree that these are great features which should be… -
Re: Do you believe using upgrades on a nomination increase the nomination's chances of being rejected?
@RandomExploit-ING writes: Niantic have clarified multiple times that it should be 3* if it can't be seen but likely/probable to be there. Right. That's useful for something like a trail marker that's under trees. If someone submits a candidate that seems to be in the middle of a farmer's field and there's no additional… -

Re: What is the difference between a directional sign and a navigational sign?
I can see where Giffard, or whoever clarified that is coming from with that thought. Often when I review signs I believe are either directional- or navigational signs, the submitters leave the trail marker tag in the "what is it?" section of nomination reviewing. The signs when they have that tag when I review them do have… -
(not so) funny rejection reasons

(1) There is an observation watch tower (built in 1914-15) in a forest. There is even a photoshere. https://www.google.com/maps/@50.9695487,12.4304509,3a,73.7y,26.66h,110.37t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sAF1QipOdUn5HKGCLScDN-HiYnYJ34TVX_m8DzuOTQ6Jf!2e10!3e12!7i8704!8i4352 I didn't create the photoshere. I submitted that tower in… -
Re: Deliberate sabotage of Pokestop Nominations
The ones rejected for not historically significant or not visually unique were likely actually marked as a duplicate by some reviewers, but not enough to trigger the duplicate rejection reason. There's a glitch with the system where if this happens, it ends up displaying those rejection reasons. Are you absolutely sure… -
Feedback to the Appeal team

Today my appeal of a valid POI was reviewed by Niantic. The verdict in wayfarer was: "Thanks for the appeal, Explorer! We could not verify the existence of this object at the specified location, so we are unable to reverse the decision of the community. We recommend that you resubmit the nomination with supporting image…
