Re: Where is Your Heart in Wayfaring?
I don't know how is it elsewhere, but since Wayfarer 4 easily half the nominations I got to review are the same generic trail marker and it sucks all the joy out of the process, for the little it may have in the first place. The **** of the Wayfarer+ plugin was a first blow to my interest in the process, but I simply find… -
The Wayfarer Discord Shares their Best Nominations of 2022!

Happy New Year everyone! I'm not very active on the Wayforum, but I wanted to share the results of the Wayfarer Discussion Discord's "Best of 2022" contest! Members had the opportunity to share one nomination from the previous year that they were particularly proud of. Afterwards, all members were able to vote on their… -
Fakes Bärenloh, part 1

City: Bärenloh, part of Bad Elster Country: Germany, Saxony Location fake educational trail There are lots of fake infoboards of an educational trail from a neighbour town. The other towns name is clearly written on them, as well in German as in Czech. And there is an infoboard, that shows the whole path: blue: fake area… -

Re: Natural Feature... maybe, but come on!!
A bench along a trail would be denied in my area at least. Is there any historical information available on this rock? Did some one special carve it or did it happen naturally? I can clearly see from your first submission it’s a noted marker on the trail but reviewers might see a sign that is laying by a natural feature as… -
Re: Eligible POI rejected
It's not worrying. It's a perfectly reasonable assumption for someone not familiar with local idiosyncrasies irrespective of whether they are an ambassador or a **** like you and I. I reviewed this. I'm familiar with UK trails etc but still looked further into it as it could easily have been a directional marker and not on… -
Re: Nominating Health Related Criteria
You don't get up and say: I'm going to take my bike to the tool station! You'd say: I need to bike this trail, but (boo) I need to stop by the tool station before I can get going. Or, after biking out to see a view, you realize you need to stop at the tool station on your way home. The station isn't the exercise, or the… -
Furious about usless Danish wayfarers who reject a trail marker as "man made natural feature"

Re: Why can't we withdraw "in voting" nominations?
I can see where you're coming from there, but I'm not sure I agree, and regardless, that wasn't the kind of trail marker in play here--they're wooden posts with the number carved into them. Besides, the point isn't that one example, but that there seems to be a pattern of odd rejection reasons, which may indicate that… -
Re: Frequent Nominations Declined Rural Setting, but why?
I am in the UK, and agree with the comment about ERII postboxes. Older ones will likely be approved. The Trail Markers I would approve. But older guidance indicated they needed to be "named trails". That is no longer the case but a lot of reviewers still only accept named trails. For example, if the marker says "Cotswold…
