Re: Why have certain things been allowed as a valid submission
For instance I had a review come up and it was just a picture of a wooden bridge over a very tiny creek it was nothing that stood out it had no sign and it looked no different to a wooden bridge we have of which a local player tried to submit as a submission which got rejected because they said it was not a valid… -
Re: Do reviewers not want to encourage exploring?
First, you can't appeal rejected nominations. This forum is for appeal existings POIs that should be removed because they're fake, in dangerous place or locations that they showed was demolished or moved somewhere else. You can also appeal here for POIs that was wrongly removed from game (some malicious players delete good… -
Re: Survey Markers

For some reason my previous comment disappeared after I did an edit, so I have to go through it all over again... Survey markers came up as a point of discussion in my local Wayfarer chat recently with this nomination appearing in Wayfarer: I looked up the geodetic/survey marker questions under the AMA's and the old OPR… -
Can the UK Wayfarer Community get additional clarification on Trail markers.
In the UK we have lots of footpaths which are analogous with US trails, we have agreed with clarification from Niantic personnel that in order for the markers to be valid they have to be "Named" trails/paths/walks. This has helped loads, but we are still a community in crisis. Some of us believe that NIA want us to have… -
Re: Activated Cooldown after 10 reviews
I’ve just commented on another thread about this. I got a 12 hour cool-down today (I didn’t even know it was a thing in the old system until I’ve just read it on this thread). It said something about a pattern - but I only reviewed 2 today and put a no on different questions (one you could socialise at but not exercise,… -
Re: Bans for submitting invalid nominations?
I find it extremely worrying that anyone on this forum would be for this, many people have had **** rejections for more than acceptable candidates (someone who even said they were for this was too lazy a reviewer to even try and tie up a supporting image to Google maps), what happens if you get unlucky on a string of… -
Re: Public bicycle station
I agree that these bike racks are great places to start exploring or start exercising (just like a trail head or the entrance to a park). I also think that your basketball net analogy is a good one: in a city with 50 bike racks like this one, there are bound to be more public basketball nets, all purchased by the city, all… -
Re: "Mismatched location" or clicking 1 star on location?
@holdthebeer-ING Yes, I've heard the historical rejection and visually unique rejection argument. My counter-argument: Go through this discussion forum and look at all of the complaints about the accuracy of Niantic's rejection email... they are legion. The people who assert that historical significance/visual uniqueness… -
Appeal supporting thread with additional pictures - Gipfelbuch Taubenfels

According to the old rules this nomination has to be accepted: Even from the oldest rules from Operation Portal Recon: Candidate: Mountain Top Marker Policy: Accept Suggested Vote: ★★★★★ ACCEPT permanently attached logbooks, structures, or signs. In newer rules there is nothing, that contradicts this old rule. So it can… -
Re: This is absurd. The frequency of unjustifiable rejections is ruining this for the rest of us.

thanks for writing this. i have a handful of unfinished draft responses that i started writing last week, but abandoned each, as i just couldn't spend anymore time pissed off about this. but i did drop your suggestions in quickly, to see if they would actually help the matter. had a new upgrade accumulate sometime over the…
