Education E-Mails unfairly sent out - This time with example

Hello all, maybe you remember this thread: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/40142/education-emails/p1 Basically, if someone sees reviewer abuse, like rejecting something for Location Inappropiate despite not being an adult oriented location, they can report it to help chat and it will be dealt with. A… -
Re: Will it be possible to report reviewers?
I've been calling out Niantic to have SOME better way of educating bad reviewers, from the wayback days when it was still only called "OPR". Unfortunately @soloredcup never did answer my pointedly directed questions. I would still ask that our new Wayfarer staff @NianticTintino or perhaps our faithful @NianticGiffard keep… -
Re: What is your opinion about double-dipping nominations?
why is that a better solution? you've only mentioned one possible reason that this method could even be problematic and I've mentioned a reason why it's beneficial. sure it makes some assumptions but for myself I only do this on certain types of nominations which I know reviewers have a tendency to not handle well. the two… -
The Endless Spam of Turramurra

Imagine this is what the serial and abusive spammer's contributions page might look and feel like: Submitting with the exact same photo, title and description, endlessly for months without no end, with still more pending nominations that a pool of 40 slots (80 if you're on both games) can handle. Every couple of reviews… -
Re: Neighborhood Name Signs [Answered]
@flatmatt-PGO : As I said, it could serve as motivation for people *in addition to* those who would already be routinely passing it. Why can't we encourage people to get more physical activity within their own neighborhoods? Since the neighborhood signs are always at the edges, most people will need to make an effort to… -
Re: Trail Signs Denied
Is this the only one that has been denied? People have differing opinions on trail markers. Near me (North Carolina) they usually go through, but our local ones don't look so much like street signs. Street signs are featured in Wayfarer under Criteria>Rejection Criteria, and quick reviewers could have just marked 1*… -
Re: Reviewer rating dropped for no good reason
I suspect that part of the reason Niantic doesn't want to do that is that it would likely lead to a lot of complaints. e.g. You discover that your rating dropped because you voted to reject a bunch of submissions on elementary school property but they got accepted anyway. (While I don't think it's the main reason for the… -
Re: What is the consensus on geodetic markers according to the new wayfarer 3.0 criterias?
Under the new criteria? No A great place for exploration A place you love to venture out to; a destination or a placemark of local interest and importance and which makes our communities unique and shapes its identity. Somewhere or something that tells the unique story about a place, its history, its cultural meaning, or… -
Sensitive archaeological sites such as Indigenous Australian rock carvings.
Recently, an Aboriginal Rock Carving site was approved close to where I play. The actual submission was for a small silver sign just on the boundary of the site which reads: “Aboriginal Rock Carvings are an integral part of Aboriginal culture. Please help us preserve this site and the engravings here. Do not interfere with… -
Re: Appeals Forum - Discussion/User Issues
@AgentB0ss-ING and @NianticCasey-ING both are very well aware of what I personally had to deal with, after I spent well over a frustrating year trying to get a faked trail marker removed. I’d started via the “proper channels” with the abuse form, and got zero feedback and zero results. Eventually I bit the bullet and made…
