Re: Vonus location in Guinea(Conakry)
Mojón means marker in the sense of both boundary marker and trail marker. When I say trail markers I'm not meaning hiking trails (although their markers can be called mojones as well) but ancient roads. The would serve the same purpose that highway signs serve now and would indicate travellers that they were in the correct… -
Re: Making Wayfarer more fun, satisfying, interesting
I'm sorry that others find trail markers "boring" - personally I enjoy my walks, and finding legitimate markers to submit is a joy to me. I've walked on some trails that others have visited in the past and their trail marker wayspots have encouraged me to explore further (since I can look at the map and see that the Red… -
Re: Why was this appeal rejected?
So this could be the Nia contractors working off old information. We used to have the rule that a trail marker needed to have the name of the trail visible. A comment on the forum from a Nia employee clarified for us about 2 years ago that named trail markers are the best candidates but having the name is not a… -
Re: Trail markers:
Looks like a bollard to me - can't see anything to indicated it marks a trail - although that could be image resolution in this forum. When I submit trails I zoom right in on the trail marker so the reviewer can read it and validate it is a trail. They are a contentious subject though and I'm still only getting accepted… -
Re: Nominations repeatetly rejected despite meeting acceptance criteria
You so not seem to understand what that not a trail marker is nominated but the trail itself. But your arguments even fail in German trail markers. Either way those trail markers here are standardized. But this does not mean that they are mass produced. Infact because of the standardization they are all unique. You cannot… -
Re: How to get the sticker type of UK Trail Markers accepted?
I am UK based as well. Personally I am a little concerned about the shear quantity of trail markers that are being accepted. It is getting a bit ridiculous seeing identical trail markers as waypoints every hundred meters apart on some trails. So when I review a trail marker the first thing I look for is does it name the… -
Re: Picnic areas are well authorized ?
@RandomExploit-ING That's not surprising. I doubt more than maybe 10% of reviewers are aware of the change. Niantic really needs to put appropriate criteria in front of reviewers WHILE THEY ARE REVIEWING rather than expecting everyone to memorize all of the criteria initially and then stay on top of every… -
