2 Footbridges found on the trail

One is more interesting that the other, but both found on the Brent Valley / Capital Ring trail…. so am hoping either or both get through.

I love that top bridge! Very cool construction.

The top one appears to have some historic construction behind it… which I hope works in its favour.

I assume the first one is the Brent River Walk near St Mary’s Church. This should pass no worries. Amazing walk. Lots of listed points of interest dotted around. Part of the Capital Ring Trail. One of the Great London Nature walks.

The second one same thing right but sits right under the Wharncliff Viaduct and is connecting Brent Meadow to the rest of the Brent River Walk.

Both sit in a lovely area of greenspace in the middle of West London. Very important walking, nature area to London.

Historically. Not so much in terms of constructing/style. This style of bridge dots the UK. In fact the company that made it, Tubewrights, was part of UKs largest steel group called Stewarts and Lloyds. Created in 1903 when the Scottish Stewarts merged with the English Lloyds. This mob made a lot of tubelar products. Tubewrights lasted till around 1981 - I think  but that I am very much not sure of.

But when in London. Nearly everyone will have seen something Tubewrights built. Right on top of the BT tower is a lattice style component steel bit. This 12m section held all the telecommunication gubbins.

@P1dg3ySlayer both deserve to pass. Least of which for where they are and how they contrbute to connecting boths side of the river and in an important nature space for the community

Good luck!!!
