Hello, I recently got an edit approved by the help chat since this wayspot (or gym in this case) was in the wrong spot so that it could be used as a gym since it was another cell. Now that I moved it via help chat, the wayspot is now in the correct position, but there are now 2 gyms in that cell. Is this normal and should I ignore it, or is there something that needs to happen on this?
Are you correcting the location expecting a recalculation?
Yes, I am expecting that since there are now 2 gyms in one cell.
I don’t even know how to ask to have the cell recalculated. I would expect it to eventually correct itself, but if it doesn’t, you didn’t do anything wrong. Let us know if it updates, please.

I am not sure myself. When cell have the 20th wayspots, it recalculate very fast (i think in same day 20th wayspot appear)
If your edit is just very recent, u may want to wait a while. Maybe its just delay

My edit was 2 days ago. Will be waiting patiently. If it hasn’t recalculated in about
2 weeks or so I will come back here.
I mean, if it’s now in the correct spot, I don’t see the issue with there being two gyms in the cell. The more gyms, the better.
Cells are meant to recalculate when an edit is done, and they typically do recalculate when an edit goes through the system normally. So it does seem like something might’ve gone wrong here.

Thanks for the response. That’s why I posted it here, to see if this was a normal thing. As of 2 full days now the cell hasn’t recalculated yet. Im waiting it out for now. Should it otherwise be moved to another category so staff can take look if it has been more than 2 weeks?
You could move it to bugs.
Yeah, it’s not supposed to do that, but I still don’t see how the gym sticking around instead of disappearing is a bad thing, especially when it’s now in the correct location.
Personally yeah haha. I also like 2 gym closeby. I can also nominate another poi in empty cell. But maybe op have another thing in mind
I also like it, but im just trying to get it fixed, before the blame comes back to me since I did the location edit (to the correct place).
As a side note, on this location there are already 4 gyms near each other. If the location is needed or people are curious I can send it.
As another side note, I just earned the regular badge

Why would people blame? If i can do raid hour with 1 more gym, i am happier
I didn’t mean people, I meant consequences from Niantic/Scopely since the last change on this cell is made by me now ofcourse.
If you are correcting it to correct place, nothing to worry

Providing the move you made is correct, the fact there hasn’t been a recalculation is not your fault - wayfinders don’t have any input into that aspect.
The Wayfarer staff recognized your proposed location as the “correct location” and corrected it. If you suggest a different location by editing the location from the “correct location”, it may be considered as abuse. If you have already submitted a location edit from your application, perhaps you should withdraw it.
This the location I proposed and it got moved to. The location is Hoogvliet Netherlands, Kinheim (streetname)
I was able to find it. This art is attached to the walls of buildings. But on the intelmap it had a pin designated on the aisle of the city square. If it was modified on a building wall, it should not be moved again from there.
