7 wayfare spots removed

7 spots were removed from Pokemom Go and the Wayfarer Map. I got no email or notice at all about it happening. Below are some images that show what was removed. It was Frisbee Holes, 1, 2 6, 9, 5, 3, and 4. Once again I havent been informed that my atuff was removed until ive seen it myself. My PoGo community is small in this town so we need what we can get.

Both sports are great ways to exercise and socialize. Wayfarer regards the whole course/play area in each sport as one field of play. This means there should be one Wayspot, which could be the first tee or a marker at the start to represent the whole course. The individual start and end points of each section of the course should not be submitted. There is potential that other qualifying objects exist within the large area of a course. If individually eligible these may be submitted for consider…

You do not get notice about your accepted submissions being removed. You may possibly get a separate email if Niantic determines that abuse has been committed. This was probably seen as a misunderstanding, not intentional abuse.

I would not resubmit these, because that could be seen as intentional abuse.

This area is very full. The red circles are gyms, the blue circles are pokestops, and the other circles are not eligible to be pokestops or gyms because they are not alone in an L17 S2 cell. Is that play equipment behind the church? That would be a second pokestop in the bigger L14 and would mean either it or the church would become a gym if accepted.

Oh, this is in Wayspot Appeals so I will hold off scouting around to make other suggestions. Staff will decide your appeal, but I expect them to reject it.

Yeha my friend submitted that last year but its in a cell with other stuff so its not a stop.

Ill be so honest with you. Idk where that church even is. But looking at the area i can see it. I just have a usual play route that goes ti this park. Its the only good place to do raids as the other place is a college and only has 1 raid gym.

Unrelated but what are you using to see the cells? I used to use iitc mobile but it kinda sucks now. And i have something on the wayfarer site but it doesnt show the cells.

right! ingress isn’t part of wayfarer (since may 2025) so don’t go by iitc. these tools work with the wayfarer map at https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/mapview. we are not allowed to share direct links to third party tools, but if you do an internet search for wayfarer tools, these will be available at a site that also gives a link to the wayfarer discussion discord server, where we can talk about using them. many of the wayfarer ambassadors are on that server, so you know you are going to get correct information there.

Thanks for the appeal, @pokemaaastah. We have taken another look, but stand by our decision to retire the Wayspots in question.
