Abuse Report : Suspected Fake Wayspot and Multiple Accounts

title : 上秋津町久保田地区の中宮神社の説明看板
location : 33.754817,135.411710

The Wayspot mentioned above is a fake Wayspot created using a composite image. I reported it on July 18, 2026, but the Wayspot itself was not removed—only one image was removed. I would have preferred to handle this through the email form, but since my message didn’t seem to get across clearly, I’ve decided to organize and post all the facts here on the forum.
First, I’m attaching the cover photo that was used when this Wayspot was registered as reference.

Images Used to Register a Wayspot

This Wayspot was registered in 2023. However, please take a look at the three Google Maps Street View images below. The Street View images from 2021 and 2024 are crucial. Although the Wayspot was registered in 2023, the signs show no text in either of these Street View images, so there is no doubt that this Wayspot uses a fabricated, doctored image.

Furthermore, a similar image was added in January 2026. It refers to the same “中宮神社”, and the vertical text is tilted to the right, which matches the previous image. Moreover, this image was added from a different account, not the one that registered this Wayspot. Therefore, there is also suspicion of multi-account use. I am attaching this as a quote.

Finally, I’ll note where the actual sign explaining the origin of this shrine is located. I’ll reference an image for this as well. This is an image stored on Google Maps for “中宮神社” (33.7601819, 135.4152868), located northeast of the fake Wayspot. The fake Wayspot was created using a composite image made by photographing this sign. That concludes my report. Thank you for your attention.
