Accepted Wayspot missing from both Pokémon GO and Wayfarer map

Hello,

I am reporting an issue with a Wayspot that was previously approved.

The nomination was accepted, and it used to appear in Pokémon GO, but it is no longer visible. It is also not appearing on the Wayfarer map anymore.

Wayspot details:

Name: Fuente de agua
Location (coordinates): 38.265336, -0.620789
Plus Code: 798H+4M Torre Azul, España
Approximate approval date: september 2023

Issue description:
The Wayspot appears as “Accepted” in my contributions, and it previously existed in-game, but it has now disappeared from Pokémon GO and is not visible on the Wayfarer map.

Because of this, I resubmitted it, but the new nomination was rejected as a duplicate, suggesting the system still recognizes the Wayspot as existing.

However, I cannot find it anywhere in-game or on the map anymore.

Request:
Could you please check if this Wayspot is stuck, removed from sync, or not properly displayed due to a database or map issue, and confirm its current status?

Welcome to the forums

When wayspots are moved, removed, blocked, edited etc, your wayfarer submission does not change. This is because it shows what you submitted and what the result of the submission was. It is not a “current status” report.

This wayspot still exists on the wayfarer map, in an otherwise empty cell, and is shown as “Live” but without being a pokestop or gym and not having any indicating of Import or Community Submitted.

At the very least, if it is inactive, I would expect it to explicitly show as Inactive and Community Submitted, so it looks like something isn’t right.

I see that we have removed this Wayspot from the gameboards. This is working as intended.

@marelche I may have been reported for not existing. Nearby streetview images from 2025 combined with google aerial views of this location definitely do not match the background of the wayspot.
