So, this happened to me today: I did a small tour around the city and have collected a few submissions regarding historic events and personalities from the second world war era. In bigger cities they are rather common and viewed by the community as cultural relevant. Since I do like adding a bit more historic contest and it often has to do with reading up on the events, I like to write the descriptions at my pc. I did submit the nominations, leaving a placeholder for the decriptions and when I arrived home I got this beautiful view:
They are all unde review. Without a valid description. Because why should I fear them going into voting on the same day as I did sumbit them, they cannot logically get into voting that fast. And now this happened. Is there a way how I can still edit the description now? Because I do assume it will take ages until this review will end and because the description is missing, it will be denied and therefore I can to do all the work again.
If there is a way to fix this, maybe even with staff help, please tell me. Thank you.
Not staff, but wanted a few more details. You should have 24 hours to edit the submission, unless you used “Upload later.” Time spent in “Upload later” counts towards the grace period before the nomination can go into review.
It doesn’t help now, but in the future, I suggest you make drafts instead of submissions. You will have plenty of time to edit the drafts before you have to submit.
Hi @cyndiepooh , I haven’t used the “upload later” button. As you have said, we normally have a time frame to edit the nominations. I did check my emails now. The first of these submissions was done today at 16:40. It is 17:57 right now at my place. That means I had propably less than an hour time to edit the submissions.
That definitely doesn’t sound like normal behaviour, as the understanding is that there is a 24 hour window before anything goes into review. Using upload later and finally uploading after that time can risk a submission instantly going into review, but what you did definitely should not.
Almost 24 hours have passed, since the first post. Is there a way to bring this thread to the attention of the staff? I would really like to know, if I can save these submissions.
I would love to get some staff clarification on this aswell, I personally think I’ve seen things go into in-house review in under 24 hours but I don’t have full proof of it. (When I noticed it, in one case 24h and 2 mins had passed, and in another case 24h and 5 mins had passed - so while it’s certainly possible that I noticed it so fast right away, I kinda doubt it.)
In my cases, it was submissions with a word that I’ve found out (with some other Germans) to trigger supposed safety checks. My guess is that due to all submissions having the “tbd” description, it was some spam checks
Staff do read every post. They only comment on the ones they feel it is necessary to comment on. This can be frustrating when you feel your issue deserves a comment and doesn’t get one, but it is Scopely Explore’s right to choose what to respond to.

Edit: I’ve also experienced that words can trigger a review, and as all these nominations had names in the title, but not “Stolperstein X/Y”, I can imagine that the nominations were flagged immediately
