It’s probably an inaccurate appeal decision but appeals are not reviewed by AI
I don’t have enough context as to what this is to have an opinion on whether the (human) appeal reviewer’s decision is one I agree with. Would you share the rest of the nomination?
I don’t know, I think it’s even worse if people do these sort of “very accurate” decisions, but I seriously can’t belive that a human can look at this and say “… criteria as this is a regular metal frame design that is mass-produced”
All you said in your appeal was “Please recheck your nomination” if my translation is correct. What evidence did you give that this was a significant work of art? In the photo you showed, I have no frame of reference as to size. This could be nothing more than a dollar store trinket from what I see here. Did you give any information about the artist?
couldn’t find anything about it on the internet, but it surely isn’t just a “dollar store trinket”
I think the tags I used where something like art, something like that, don’t really remember. But I def didn’t say that it was a chuch or some other thing like this xD
Okay the full nomination helps, ty. The tags don’t matter for the nomination - it is just data and does not indicated eligibility. From the supporting photo, I can see why you would submit them. But art is subjective, and I don’t think the human reviewer was incorrect to reject them. They do appear to be very small and size does matter for a Wayspot:
Should the size of a nomination be taken into account?
Yes, a good Wayspot nomination should be relatively easy to locate in person. If a Wayspot is too small, it may be difficult to verify its real-world location. If you come across a high-quality nomination that’s small in size, we recommend you use the supporting photo and description to provide more context on the nomination’s location.

If I had evidence of this being an art installation with an artist’s name, or a link to the project, I might be more inclined to accept this as a Wayspot. But as is, I think it is a cute decoration, but not something that should be a Wayspot imo.
I do think this is a gray area nomination, so you may get other opinions here.
The metal bars are not part of the art. It is only the mice that are the potential wayspot. They are showing in the August 2025 streetview but not the April 2025 streetview (if you go far enough to the right, you can see past the cars). The bars themselves were not there in July 2024.
I would be uncomfortable accepting this in review without some evidence that it is an art installation.
Well if you can provide artist name, it would help a lot. Otherwise people might think that its pretty vandalism or worse , temporary object
I’m surprised that got shot down. You can see the beads from the weld attaching it to the grate, I would make sure to mention that as well. It would be nice if the appeals reviewers at least cared enough to correctly identify what the nomination is in their rejection.
Resubmit. Use the web submission and add multiple pictures showing the actual surrounding of the nomination not just the ground. Reviewers want to see that you have put in effort. Especially when the nomination is not an “instant” thumbs up everywhere.
