All My Submissions Are Denied

Hello!

I am new to nominating wayspots, and I have been having trouble with it. All of my submissions have been refused by the bot. The memorial stone was marked as a duplicate, but I there’s no indication that another user uploaded it. What is wrong with my submissions, and what can I do better? As far as I can tell, the fit the criteria. I attached screenshots of my submissions.

Welcome to the forum, and I hope we can help!

I have trouble addressing a lot of things at once, so will start with the first one. This is indeed a duplicate Wayspot. It is not being used as a Pokestop or gym in Pokemon Go because it is not alone in the L17 S2 cell outlined here:

This mini library is most likely a Pokestop or gym.

You may want to read this topic: Why an accepted Wayspot may not be used in Pokemon Go (S2 cells and Pokemon Go)

Okay that makes sense, I wasn’t aware of the one poke stop per cell. I didn’t see the plaque on pokemon go, so I assumed it wasn’t ever submitted.

For the other nominations rejected by the “automated process,” the Machine Learning model did not detect anything that it had learned to be an eligible point of interest. I am guessing they just seemed like infrastructure or natural features.

A wayspot needs to be a great place for exercise, exploration, or being social. I can’t read the plaque on the fountain, but having a plaque will help that nomination that is still “in queue.” I will be surprised if the automated process rejects that one. I hope someone who has submitted something like this and has better eyesight than I do can help you with this one. If it hasn’t gone into voting yet, you may want to put this on hold until someone can assist you.

You can check for duplicates in the nomination map screen in pokemon go if you turn the toggle in the bottom left corner on. Wayspots that are not being used but exist will show as exclamation points. You can tap on them and see what they are for. Something like this

This only works while you are directly at the site. It does not cover a large area.

Oh, I did a little more looking around. The fountain in queue is a wayspot too

In your opinion, should I eventually appeal these when I get more appeals, or is it unlikely that these points of interest would ever be accepted? I thought they would be cool to find and are important in the community.

What is this building?

That is a coffee shop and they sell water from the spring there

That would be a good thing to nominate.

I don’t think I would appeal these, personally. If there is any documentation on the old spring access being preserved for historical reasons, then maybe do appeal that one. But it just looks abandoned to me.
