I am writing to urgently appeal the 30-day suspension on my account regarding my nomination “Handgeschnitzter Holzfuchs” in Dresden (submitted on 21.06.2026).
After reviewing my submission details, I realized there was a severe and completely accidental typo in the “Supporting Information” text. The text ends abruptly with the word “”.
I want to clarify that this was an unfortunate autocorrect error or typing mistake (I intended to type a word related to “Holzkunst” / “Holzschnitzerei”). The sentence cut off, resulting in a highly inappropriate word being submitted. I completely understand why the automated system or reviewers flagged this, and I deeply apologize for this mistake. It was absolutely not my intention to include offensive, harmful, or abusive text.
As you can see from the nomination details:
The Object: It is a genuine, family-friendly wooden fox sculpture (“Handgeschnitzter Holzfuchs”) located along a public walking path.
The Photos: The main photo and the supporting photo purely show the nature trail and the wooden art piece.
This was an honest and careless typing mistake, not intentional abuse. I deeply value the Wayfarer guidelines and would never intentionally submit harmful content. I kindly ask you to look at the context of the entire submission and lift the 30-day suspension.

The rejection reason you got is not about the text. That text comes up when someone rejects your nomination for abuse, and given the emails you received, it’s likely that the abuse in question was the misplacement of the wayspot, and not anything else to do with the nomination.
Do you have the email you received when you initially submitted this nomination? It should have the exact GPS coordinates below the photos. This information could help with your appeal.

Unfortunately, I do not have the original submission email anymore because my email inbox automatically deletes older messages after one week.
However, I went back to check the original photo on my phone to retrieve the location details, and I can confirm the exact coordinates where the “Handgeschnitzter Holzfuchs” is located:
As you can see from my supporting photo (the one with the bench), this is a public nature path / hiking trail. The sculpture is permanently fixed there to mark the path. It is absolutely not a fake location or a private property.
Since I cannot access the Wayfarer dashboard due to the 30-day ban, I hope providing the coordinates and showing that it’s a real, permanent object on a public trail helps clear up the “location misplacement” misunderstanding."
Staff will normally initiate a DM for situations like this where they can explain what they see and you can explain your side privately. I think the other responses here have helped you understand what the issue is, and you can continue to discuss with other forum members if you find it helpful, or you can wait for a Niantic staff member to reply at this point. They will post on the topic that they have sent one.

Yes, this screenshot also states in German that the Wayspot was misplaced. It seems the last word in the supporting information wasn’t the reason for the penalty. This is definitely strange. Comparing the supporting photo with the aerial view, the location in question appears to be right in front of the middle of the windbreak, not at the edge of it.
