Road bridges have never been mentioned as being eligible. FOOTbridges have been discussed in the eligibility criteria. An underpass like this that is only for pedestrians (feet) matches a footbridge, IMO.
I did decide to step back as we are moving away from the OP.
All my comments are opinions so I will make the followingâŚ
-
I do not believe that all footbridges should be definite accepts.
-
I agree that an underpass should be treated the same as a footbridge including that not all of them should be acceptable.
-
To me itâs another decision whether itâs infrastructure which matches @salixsorbus example of a âpedestrian crossingâ or something more, an integral part of a trail, If it has history etc.
-
My example of the Canal path I was picturing a road bridge, nominator knows the road bridge will likely be Rejected so they use the fact that the canal path goes under instead. In My Opinion this would not be enough to change it to Accept.
Going back to the OP, I have never stated this should be rejected. We have not seen the full nomination so I would like to see evidence of the âseveral trailsâ. I would not have mentioned the âshortcut to nearby supermarketsâ as this makes it sound more like infrastructure.
Thank you all! I will take all your feedback on board and I will do my best! ![]()
