These two Wayspots represent pieces of fitness equipment in an outdoor fitness area. The fitness area has since been renovated and these equipment have been removed and replaced.
These are the photos for Single Walker and Extender Stretch Machine respectively.
(Some people uploaded photos of the wrong equipment and then those photos became the most upvoted. So these two photos are not the ones on the photo disc, but they are the correct photos matching the Wayspot names. But regardless, the entire fitness corner has been renovated and rebuilt so it doesn’t matter anymore.)
This is what the location looks like today:
(Extender Stretch used to be in the foreground where the pull-up bars are now. Single Walker is further behind at the other fitness station which is barely visible in this photo)
(Close-up of the other fitness station where Single Walker used to be)
The equipment has been completely replaced after the renovation, not simply repainted. The informational signs about the equipment have also been changed completely.
This is (slightly) visible on Google street view, though it is obstructed by the apartment block.
(Taken in May 2019, you can see the fitness equipment are all painted orange)
(Taken in Aug 2022, the fitness equipment is painted silver now, and they look nothing like the old ones.)
It’s possible that this is being seen as repurposing. When the object of a wayspot changes, it is sometimes correct for it to be removed and resubmitted. Sometimes that isn’t necessary; sometimes it’s a judgement call.
If the objects “Single Walker” and “Extender Stretch Machine” no longer exist and have been replaced by other equipment, removal and resubmission seems the correct action.

I am reporting them to be removed. The report was rejected. I believe this was because I could not provide enough evidence through in-game reporting. In-game reporting does not allow me to add multiple photos, and this place is not clearly visible from street view.
Both pieces of equipment definitely no longer exist in their original form, though some of the new equipment may be similar to them.
It doesn’t really make a difference to these reports, but there are already two Wayspots representing the new equipment.
Ah, apologies, I mis-interpreted what the original appeal was as it says “location report”.
As you have provided extra information here (it’s a shame it’s so hard using the in-game reporting), Niantic should see what you have posted and may provide an update.
How long will it take before I get an outcome about this report?
My initial report was rejected within 3 hours after submission. Now it has been 3 days here.
I know it’s the weekend, but all these could have been avoided if the in-game reporting system allowed us to add sufficient supporting information. It’s not sufficient to allow only one single photo and a description with a very small character limit.

I would at least wait for the work week to start before getting antsy about a reply. You acknowledge it is a weekend. The length of time does vary, so I can’t say for sure how long it will take, but they are very good about handling these matters.
If it does get overlooked this week, you can bump the post again like you just did.
Another way to report is to use one of the reporting forms mentioned at the top of the forum. You can provide evidence that way. Some people say they have success using help chat for removals, but help chat usually points me to the form linked under “Wayspot Removals” when I try going through that option. If you don’t see the link in the format you are viewing the forum, this is it: Reporting a Wayspot — Wayfarer Help Center
(Since you have already made an appeal here, I would wait a bit for a response before trying a form.)

Thanks for the appeal, @outridersteak! After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspots in question.
