I would really like to make this location (ICAN Torrance) a pokestop and maybe one day a gym, it wasn’t originally my idea to make it a pokestop, rather one of the admins, it’s a vocational program for adults with disabilities with a very nice garden. We have a nice sized Pokémon go player base here as well, including our very own pokemon go club!, if you have advice for me please let me know, thank you!

I want to make sure I am answering the right question. Are you high enough level to submit Wayspots yourself?

I think that this facility itself might be difficult to get accepted, but this garden area that seems to be part of it might have something.

Satellite view is blurry, but it looks like there is a pavilion at each end, and those are usually pretty easy to get accepted.

The place itself probably doesn’t meet any of the Wayfarer criteria. But there is an outdoor meeting spot that I think meets the socialize criterion.

Unfortunately, this is probably an uphill battle for you. Despite the official company commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility, Wayfarer has a lot of room for improvement in the area of Inclusion and Accessibility towards disability. I’ve seen spaces like this be denied for no reason other than that they provide services to persons with disability. These are not decisions I support.

Oh yeah, I’m level 47! I think someone said it got rejected for being a place that supports disability? Idk but yeah, the garden is a really great place for gatherings and sometimes, the driveway gets closed for events
