My nomination was rejected by the automated response. This motorcycle is on display in the window of this moto guzzi mechanic shop, and I believe it would make a unique wayspot. I would like to appeal the rejection, but I’m not sure what the correct language is? I would include more info about the actual motorcycle, but I only know that it is a Vintage Moto Guzzi, which are not common in the US.

One of the big hurdles i think you need to get over for this one is to prove that this is not a temporary window display. I think a permanent window display of a vintage motorcycle could be something interesting to explore. You could even make a case for a window display that rotates various vintage motorcycles being interesting because there’s something new to explore every few months. But as the submitter, you have to do the legwork to figure out why these vintage motorcycles are interesting, beyond just looking cool. What do they mean to this business and it’s customers? What do they mean to the history of motorcycles and the subculture of people who ride?
Thank you for your input. I can see on maps that the same motorcycle has been in the window since 2021. I can’t find the specific model of the motorcycle, but I can deduce that it’s from the 1930’s. I’ll try with that information.
I also considered nominating the big sliding door with the Italian flag painted onto it.
If resubmitted, please consider a different photo angle. The window reflection makes it difficult to see this lovely vintage machine well. Maybe a better photo could be taken from inside the business, and maybe the staff inside could provide more information about the display motorcycle if asked?
Thanks for your suggestion. You’re right about the photo, the angle is not front facing because my reflection. Otherwise, I would have submitted a better angle. I usually wait until it’s overcast to take photos for this reason.
