Appeal for suspected abuse

Lincoln Green Community Recreational Grounds
Brinnington
Stockport
England

This rejection has really confused me as there is no abusive or offensive language involved.
Can someone please shine a light on this for me as I would like to apeal

Welcome to the forum.

The Wayspot Appeals category is not for this purpose, so don’t be upset if your post is moved.

That string is just the way the rejection reason appears when a nomination is flagged for abuse. It does not mean the text of the nomination is abusive. Often it is a third party photo the submitter did not take themselves, or a very misplaced location. Can you think of anything about this nomination that may have been flagged?

I took the pictures myself and they are on my camera reel. The location could possibly be slightly off but not grossly as I submitted it in the area where I took the photos. Strange. Is there a way to apeal? It gives me no options at all

Welcome. For completeness, would it be possible to see the full nomination, including the other picture and supporting text?

We get two appeals, each on a 15 day counter before it can be used again. When we have one available, the appeal button will return.

You can resubmit the nomination if you would rather. That doesn’t affect your ability to appeal later if the new submission is also rejected.

Especially since “abuse” was selected, I would recommend posting screenshots of the full nomination here for advice before doing either. I will probably leave commenting on how to improve the nomination to people more local to you who will know more how your reviewers may see it.

Ah! that pin looks like it landed at a home. That is probably what caused the abuse rejection. The green is below there.

I would not appeal this. I would resubmit, but see how more local folks feel about these greens.

Hello and Welcome,

I would guess it was rejected because the location was misplaced and as the actual place did not seem a suitable nomination they did not move the pin to the correct place but rejected it.

This sort of grass area in an estate is going to be a very difficult place to submit successfully. It is some basic landscaping - nice though it is to have a grass area to walk through. If it had some benches in one area then there could be a case for a social space.

But I suspect most wanting a place to play will go the short distance to the park.

It would be nice if more was made of this space perhaps one of the project groups in Brinnington could maybe create a community garden in one corner, perhaps they could build a bug hotel. Many of these could use recycled products to keep costs down. Chat to a local councillor.
