I am not clear about what you are trying to do.

They have rejected the proposal and I want you to help me get them to approve it.
They are telling me that the description is incorrect, but I cannot change it.
I have appealed to see if the edit button appears, but it does not.

Oh I am not a staff member! If you are trying to appeal a rejected contribution, you do that from the contributions page. If you don’t see the button to make an appeal, then you don’t have one available. We get 2 appeals, each on a 15 day counter before you can use it again.
If you would like advice on whether you should resubmit it, you can post screenshots of it here.
I missed the fact that you had already appealed. Let us know the outcome of that, and we can go from there.

I’ve moved your thread into Nomination Support because the category Wayspot Appeals is for appealing rejected removal requests or to ask for reinstating removed wayspots.

You cannot edit a description during the appeal process. If the description is incorrect, you will need to start the submission all over again.
