The nomination in question is a war memorial at a crash site on a public footpath, close to a farmers field. I can only think this is why it’s been rejected as the location is not visible on maps. I can assure you its there as i walked 15 minutes through long grass to get there. I did provide a link below for the war memorial location but sadly I now realise is way off from the actual location. I’m trying to preserve these in Pokemon go and I would love a second look at this appeal decision.
Even if this is official and permanent, which is not clear from the photo, it could be considered a sensitive area. Cemeteries & Other Sensitive Locations
It’s not a sensitive location and is visitable by folk. No one is buried there, it’s a memorial put in place to remember the people who lost their lives during the war.
It’s a war memorial, which are usually eligible, but reviewers tend to prefer accepting plaques not by gravestones than an actual gravestone/memorial location.
I would resubmit, making sure you have all the supporting information that is in this thread (either directly or linked).
You do need to overcome the "temporary "look and feel that it has, based on the image you have posted here.
Oh I just saw you had posted about this on WDD. The rejection was because they could not verify the location. Even the documentation you linked is fuzzy about where this exists.
It has the look of something a friend or family member would set up by a roadside here after a car crash, and this being created and shared by a single person makes it seem like one of those. If you are going to resubmit, maybe use web submit so you can include some additional supporting photos, like a close up of the plaque and anything else you can think of to show it is permanent.
If I do resubmit I’ll do this but I was hoping just the link to the memorial on the page would have been enough. I’ll wait and see to see if this appeal is overturned before doing so.

It’s normally best if you can provide the full submission including the pin position and supplementary photos as it will help us advise if there was an issue with determining the location.

I have to agree as a reviewer I wouldn’t have been able to verify the location and if the same information was provided to the appeals staff I would be surprised if they could verify either.
Resubmission is best option I think.
Your first issue is that the official documentation of location is incorrect. It is possible that it was located in the village and moved later to the actual site, but one way or another the fact that it is wrong needs to be addressed….perhaps you could get it amended so everyone knows where it is. The first photo here shows difference.
From the information I take it that it is actually located somewhere on the path in the field above the pin in that red box?
As landmarks are going to be difficult I would advise using websubmit as you have 5 images you can use.
Is there a PROW marker where the path switches through to the south side? If you could get an image looking back that has that gap it is a feature. Something that stands back to show where it is relative to the field corner might help. I have also used screenshots from Rowmaps to show the route of the path too.
I also like to use an app that prints the coordinates on the photo so the reviewers can check for themselves. GPSmapcamera is the one I use for situations like this.
By using the 5 images you are giving the reviewer good evidence.
I have never heard of wesubmit before, I will give it a look. Coincidentally, I’ve had a war memorial accepted yesterday which is also in the middle of a field with no troubles, and street view isn’t available either so I guess it’s just down to how reviewers and then the appeal reviewers feel.

I am unsure if I can get a photo turning to face that way based on the foliage and what I had to walk through to get to the location.
I would firstly like the appeal to be looked at because I hope I have provided enough information in this thread and this reply. If not, I’ll have to get my walking boots on again!
Those are the details - not the most exciting of names but at over a km a good path.
You will see the submit option on your main wayfarer page. As long as you are within 10km you can submit from home for example. So another walk to collect the markers too would be good.
As it is in the corner a couple of pictures to clearly show that one from north and another from east will help.

When looking at queries like this, it is not for a fresh look at the wayspot but rather if the appeal process was done correctly. A video would be something new.
I think the watermarked geotags will work best for a resubmit.
