Appeal to reinstate waypoint wrongly removed

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Best Kept Village Plaque
  • Location (lat/lon):51.1812070, 1.1686314
  • City: Denton with Wootton
  • Country: UK
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):
  • Additional Information (if any):
I asked for this waypoint to be moved to it’s correct location but you removed it instead. Please reinstate the waypoint in the correct location. Thanks

Hello @FredC303

Good luck with your appeal.

I think this might be done by help chat?
If so maybe adding the ticket number is usefull.

It was the help chat that removed it. So not very helpful. I told them the correct coordinates and they just removed it instead of moving it. So it now needs reinstating. Can’t get back there to submit it again any time soon.

Curious removal, since the object is there, eligible, meets criteria, safely accessible, is not a duplicate of anything else etc.

if it helps, that cell is already very well populated so it shouldn’t affect Pogo, just wayfarer.

I have had a hiking trail sticker removed when I asked for a location change.

It was gone for 2 days, then finally reinstated. It seems to me that help chat sometimes makes “interesting” decisions.

I’m seeing a lot of posts from people who feel help chat made bad decisions. What we don’t see are the posts where people have no problem with the decisions from help chat, so it might be that it is only a tiny proportion of decisions that are “interesting”.

(Similarly for removal reports that are rejected when the wayspot is clearly meeting removal criteria.)

Yep. I know all this information. Most of the waypoints there are mine. I submit anything anywhere these days
