Appeal to remove wayspot ASLA Centennial Medallion

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: ASLA Centennial Medallion

  • Location (lat/lon): 33.768477,-84.355303

  • City: Atlanta

  • Country: USA

  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):

  • Additional Information (if any):
I am reporting a duplicate Wayspot for a plaque on the ground.
At the very end is an additional, but related, request to all of the provided information.

Here is information about the other Wayspot, which is located at correct location.

  • Title of more accurate wayspot: The American Society of Landscape Architects 1899-199
  • Location of more accurate wayspot: 33.767149,-84.355524

Here is the main photo, from each wayspot, to compare that the plaque on the ground is the same for both:

Here are some photos taken on-site showing the surroundings of the correct location:

The incorrect location has a March 2025 google streetview that should be current enough to verify that there is no plaque near the incorrect location (as the wayspot age is significantly older).

Please remove either of the wayspots (the one at the incorrect location seems more straightforward).

The additional, related request:

For the wayspot β€œThe American Society of Landscape Architects 1899-199”, please change the title to β€œThe American Society of Landscape Architects 1899-1999” (add a β€œ9” to make the year range accurate to the plaque). The wayspot does not appear in PGO, so it is not possible to submit a title edit.

Thank you.

Thanks for the appeal, @SerAmanda! We have taken action on the Wayspots in accordance with our policies.
