Are playgrounds just outside of schools/pre-schools still appropriate?

Been scouring the forum because I know this is a common topic and found the concensus a while back was that as long as a playground is outside of school grounds, it’s acceptable. Feels a little off to me, particularly the ones that are right next to the entrance.

Showcase wayspot by the way
Edit: It’s a pre-school

I would say it is ineligible in my opinion, since it might still on the school property.

I tend to agree with you, it can be difficult sometimes to determine the boundaries of the school property and in the abscence of evidence provided by submitter, I would reject. That being said, I’m interested as well in the principle of playgrounds near/next to schools. As someone said in a previous topic, schools and pre-schools are meant to be safe places, and having wayspots placed right outside them can make them (feel) less safe.

Generally, finding the property lines or some equivalent proof has been the final determinant on this for staff (appeals, reports etc). So it’s about evidence of which territory this belongs to. I understand this isn’t equally easy to find (or sometimes is paywalled) for all countries and regions.

The pin looks to be at about 2.757597061332591, 101.8213397507231 which seems misplaced. The actual school is slightly southwest of that.

OpenStreetMap can be wrong sometimes, but it defines the school as being quite a small area with two playgrounds outside - Way: ‪Taman Asuhan Kanak-Kanak‬ (‪605053003‬) | OpenStreetMap

It does not appear to be on school grounds but I would say the pin is wrong.

Ah, I see the concensus hasn’t shifted much. I defer to your wisdom, whatever my reservations. :man_bowing:
