Are they... Can't read!?

This is a water fountain, not a swimming pool…

I would suggest submitting it when it’s in use. Whatever it is, it appears abandoned and unused. Perception matters here. Did you provide any supporting info to show it is a functioning and in use fountain?

The fountain was built a long time ago by the municipality to attract tourists, and… they probably turned it off, perhaps due to the water bill, so it hasn’t been working for a long time. I thought a non-active water fountain would still be acceptable…

Based on what you are saying, it sounds like it has been decommissioned… even if it’s temporary. I personally wouldn’t resubmit or appeal this until you know for sure if it is going to come back.

So… the fountain needs to be working… okay. But that still doesn’t explain why Ninatic calls the water fountain a swimming pool…

I am not trying to defend niantic but if i just look into the foto, it really look like swimming pool.

Decorative water fountains can be acceptable, provided they are both a point of exploration and safely accessible. The key thing is not “water fountains are acceptable” but “points of exploration are acceptable”.

This is not a decorative water fountain, but a disused civic feature that is not worth exploring. This is why it was rejected by the community. When you appealed, Niantic correctly rejected it. That they used the wrong words to describe it, albeit words that have some merit if you just look at the picture, doesn’t matter.

BRO U SERIUS :joy::joy:

You make me imagine people swiming there and make me laugh lol!

Anyway all wayspot need to fit exploration, exercise, or socialize category. Abandoned fountain doesnt looks like good place to socialize or exploration.

Well its hard to see how big is it from just 1 foto.

Oh i get it now ty for explaining. i really wish this fountain is repaired…

It would be great if it was. It makes me sad when civic features like this are abandoned.
