Beginning and End of Alphabet Wayspots

I was today years old when I learned you could sort your contributions alphabetically as well as chronologically, and that made me curious: what’s everyone’s first and last accepted wayspots when you sort that way? I thought that might be a really cool way to get a peek at what everyone’s done.

For me, the first one on the list isn’t an “A”, but a year:

And I don’t have any “Z” nominations, but I do have a relatively recent Y. Yes, I cringe looking at the crop on the main photo here, too. I’m going to have to ask my girlfriend to take me back there so I can replace the photo at some point. Not a hard ask; they had some really good drinks and pastries.

What a unique topic.

I did not know you could do that:rofl:

Here are mine:

I also never even noticed that.

That reminds me there’s a part with a zipline near me that I might need to see about nominating.

I think you just won the forum

(Adapated from “won the internet”, for those that don’t immediately get this.)

The fact that you typed out the full morse code is impressive.

What a submission

So true haha

I have A but dont have Z

Out of curiosity, the first letter distribution (excluding edits and photos).

I was also this days old when I learned it… today.

These are mine

Both are parks.

Love that title of the first one.

So creative

The second one was accepted on appeal, as it’s a baseball field that is in a city park but contracted to a high school that doesn’t have one on campus; the school campus is several kilometers away, so Niantic accepted an appeal to it being rejected for being at a school.

This is part of a two segmented panel telling the story of the plant Yerba mate. It was taken in Brazil.

And this was taken in Belgium.

Well, if I sort Alphabetical and take the default results, I get these two:

Eliminating all but Roman alphabet characters yields the following:

I think it’s kinda interesting that my “1” nomination is at the same spot as my “A” nomination, while my “Y” and “テ” nominations are thousands of miles apart.

Well, that’s a coincidence.

This was alot of fun exploring!
