I would like to clarify that the photo used in my nomination is my own original image, taken by me at the location. The reason it appears online is because I personally shared it on Reddit after the initial rejection, while asking for feedback from the community.
This may have caused confusion and made it seem like the image was taken from a third-party source, but I can confirm that I am the original photographer and the image was captured directly by me at the site.
I understand and respect the Wayfarer photo guidelines, and I always submit photos that I personally take. I would appreciate it if this could be reviewed again with that clarification in mind.
Hopefully Niantic will respond (probably with a DM), as I have seen in the past a vaguely-similar situation being resolved to everyone’s satisfaction. Since the Reddit post will be dated, it should be possible to confirm this was after the submission date.
Hi
It’s difficult to know the best place to post, and the appeals section is for some very specific cases. So I will move this to the general area where cases like this are responded to.
I do remember seeing this previously.
Do you have the link to the Reddit post?
Ah, sorry about that, and thank you!
I do have the link. I thought of deleting the post to prevent further confusion, but at this point, it is probably needed as evidence.

Hopefully this can be cleared up. Looking at the original post on Reddit, you never posted the full image on that post. You only posted screenshots of your nomination, which is something that is often encouraged when a nomination is rejected, so I don’t think that should be getting flagged.
Well, I believe that at the moment I have managed to prove both of those things.
I was always under the impression that every photo used for the submissions is uploaded together with its metadata as a way to ensure that the photos are original.
Anyways, if further proof is required, I will be able to provide it.
