The nature of the Wayspot is like this:
The title consists of two components, (1) A merchant named “Zheng Yi Lang”, (2) The road the merchant is on, Xingye Road. The Wayspot photo shows a name & address sign, with the street number “118” on the left, and the merchant’s name “Zheng Yi Lang” on the right.
Later, the merchant “Zheng Yi Lang” has closed down. At least two other merchants leased this address, “Lady M” and “La Repete”. The right side of the sign is replaceable, and when a new merchant settles in, the new name will be installed on the sign. I have submitted two photos for the sign with the two merchants’ name on it.
The Wayspot’s title in now half inaccurate. The road name Xingye Road is correct, but the merchant name “Zheng Yi Lang” is not. Earlier, I tried to change the Wayspot title to “118 Xingye Road” with the following note:
This Wayspot is the street number sign of the address 118 Xingye Road. The tenant of this address has changed many times. The accepted title and photo show a merchant named 征艺廊 “Zheng Yi Lang”. The other two accepted photos, which were submitted by me, shows two other merchants, “Lady M” and “La Repete”, from two different timestamps. So the proposed title removed the specific merchant name “Zheng Yi Lang”, and kept the street address “118 Xingye Road”, to be more general to cover any future tenants of this site.
But was denied with the following note from Niantic:
Thanks for the appeal, Explorer. We reviewed your contribution and determined that it is not related to the object this Wayspot represents and as a result, we have rejected your submission. Please note that trying to repurpose a Wayspot is a violation of our policies.
So according to Niantic, this Wayspot is mainly about the merchant, not the address or the sign. In this way the Wayspot should be removed.
