I had to line up the back of the noticeboard with what could be seen from streetview from the car park, which had some older streetview from before the noticeboard was added. Community rejection, appeal accepted.
Community noticeboards are good wherever they are IMO. The problem with indoor nominations is the difficulty in getting the pin in the right place to begin with and then for reviewers to be able to confirm the location, I have to admin that I too am likely to skip indoor nominations because of that.
Surely if I submit a noticeboard at a Co-op, and the pin is on a Co-op shop, its reasonable to accept it without being able to actually see the noticeboard at this store
In my example above, the noticeboard was at the back, by their post office section, (where the long queues usually are, so makes sense), but you can’t see it from the door, so there’s no way to prove that with the scope we have on a normal submission
If the noticeboard is clearly in a Co-op that helps. Unfortunately, people cheat, so someone might take a picture in a co-op that has a noticeboard and add it to a co-op that doesn’t have one.
Take the supporting photo so that the board can be located relative to objects that are visible from streetview. This is pretty much the same as for anything that isn’t visible on streetview but has streetview nearby - it’s not mandatory to do this, but it helps the chances of an acceptance.
It was accepted on appeal, but there was no way to take a picture showing anything that matches up, so I just took a picture of the board within the wider store. The store is long, and the board is in 1 corner, but the door is central so the view from the door looks down an aisle that doesnt have a view of the post office or the board at the end. A video would do it, but that’s overkill in my opinion.
I suppose also the notices themselves mention local stuff like this one which is a little blurry but it mentions a nearby community centre and even the address of it, further giving validity to this being in the right area
