Looking to see if a staff member can send me a private message to better understand why a POI was removed.
I can’t speak for staff, but I don’t think Niantic provide explanations for why a wayspot has been removed. They might confirm whether it was a property owner that made the request, but otherwise it will be because a report was submitted and accepted.

You can appeal the removal of the Wayspot in the Wayspot appeals category.
