Hello. I submitted two waypoints and they got rejected because of being “blurry, too dark, or too far away”. They are not low-quality pictures. They are taken on phones, and they actually got good quality. They are not too dark or taken from too far away. It feels like my wayspots got rejected for ridiculous reasons. I am new here. I appealed them already. Has anyone else have the same problem?

Welcome to the forum! Did your decision email say the rejection was from the “community” or from “our team”? Was the rejection almost instant, or did it take at least more than 24 hours after you submitted to be rejected?
The rejection was almost instant.
That often points to a data issue. Are you using photos you took yourself with your phone’s camera? If not, try that. If you are then I will have to let someone more knowledgeable about data issues help.
Yes I am. I used my dad’s camera to take those photos and he allowed me to have them when he sent them to me on Google Chat. These photos were taken back in 2020-2021.
In the screenshot of your contributions tab, you can see the photos are broken as they’re not displaying a thumbnail like they normally would. This is likely why they were immediately rejected. As @cyndiepooh says, it is likely a data issue. Common issues are that there may have been a poor connection during the upload, or the photo size may be too big or in the wrong format.
Sadly your appeals were likely wasted because the image will not be visible for the appeal reviewer if they were broken during the initial upload process.
I understand. I uploaded all the images in the nominations but may have broke due to the instant rejections. Is it a good thing to resubmit them with the photos not broken.

What format are these photos in and did you convert them to any other file format?
Just out of curiosity, why are you using 5 y.o. photos?
It seems like a lot could have changed since then
I converted them to jpeg.
Because those are the only photos of them that I have. Also, they might most likely still be there.
I am going to try resubmitting them to see what happens.
What was your conversion method?
I converted them to jpeg on Microsoft paint when saving them. They loaded fine when uploading them. They have most likely broke due to instant reject. I am trying again right now.
That’s not a proper conversion and is why the upload failed. This has happened to me in the past
