I realize I use screenshots from Ingress Intel Map. However, these existed before Pokemon GO & Pikmin Bloom were purchased. Unity Missionary Baptist Church Sign is a PokeStop. However, Unity Missionary Baptist Church has never existed in Pokemon GO. While still following the rules, does any way exist to cause the Wayspot representing the church (not sign) to be added to Pokemon GO since it already exists? If a way exists, what must be done? I know nominating it again serves no purpose other than to waste a nomination. If the answer is no, I can live with that. If you need to search, 1200 S University Ave, Little Rock AR 72204, is a Shell at the intersection to the east of the sign and makes locating the church & sign simple.
Hi, the sign is already occupying that S2 level 17 cell. If it’s correctly located, there is nothing to be done

The sign and the church shouldn’t be separate wayspots. The sign does not meet any criteria on its own. It would only be a proxy for the church.

Probably. But in my opinion, this is unique enough to be wayspot on its own. Its also visible from satelite if it want to be corrected.

If church signs that are just church signs are widely considered proxies for the church, this sign is a proxy for the church. Sometimes in the UK the signs also have a board on which notices are posted, so these /might/ be eligible/
You are correct in that it is distinct, but it is simply a sign.
The church itself is a place to be social and has cultural meaning in the community. A sign has none of those things.
It is not known what order these were submitted but the church shouldn’t have 2 wayspots for the one place.
I suspect that it doesn’t meet removal criteria. But this should not indicate that a practice of trying to “double dip” for the same thing is the right way to go.
Reviewers would be correct if they marked either as a duplicate.
Until I began Ingress Prime also, I didn’t know the church had a Portal besides the sign. I might be mistaken but believe the sign was nominated before the church was. However, that is just a guess. We use this photo in Ingress also. The person who nominated this has reached the maximum level in Ingress. Sorry, I will not share that alias.

If these notices are just for “events” happening at the church then I still mark them as duplicate.
If they act as a Community noticeboard for events around the village then I would accept.

I believe that this is a case where the sign probably shouldn’t have been accepted separately from the church, but since it has been, it wouldn’t meet removal criteria. But Niantic removal decisions often surprise me.
Since the Help page can’t be accessed, I wanted to leave this quote of what it says in the faq there that I had previously noted elsewhere:
Should the sign for a Wayspot nomination be marked as a duplicate if there is already a Wayspot for the object the sign represents?
If the sign is a significant distance from the object then it should be considered on its own. If it is close, such as with a church sign and a nearby church building, then it should be marked as a duplicate.
