Does this warrant a retry - business centre marker

Description: The South West Centre is a business centre in south west Sheffield with this striking steel marker at the front of Vulcan Seals, the largest business here.

Supporting: Safely and easily accessible to all; visible from google streetview images. The marker is visible from the main road, helping to promote the centre, surrounded as it is by residential housing.

Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/urBQ9NL7VD3mKvMh9

Rejected: The submission lacks uniqueness or historical and cultural meaning: The submission is likely not permanent or distinct

i was lazy in this description - I usually have more to say - which is perhaps an indication. But I still like this marker and I actually think it’s quite something. Is it worth retrying (with a better description) or appealing?

None of this is part of the core criteria. How is this a great place for exercise, exploration, or being social? That is what you will have to be able to prove if you want to resubmit.

While I agree that this is a nice sign, I don’t see from the photo or description as to how it meets any of the core criteria.

I wondered when you mentioned it was made of steel if this is a nod towards Sheffield’s historic industry? And not just a name sign?
I guess it lights up nicely at night?
Unless there is more to it than being the name of the business centre then this doesn’t meet criteria.

Yes, I’d say the sign might be more eligible than the business centre because it does look like it is made from steel which is what Sheffield is famous for. Alas, when looking for some background information on it, the most interesting thing I can find is this thread.

Thanks all. I’m keeping hold of it, but 50/50 resubs come low down the list,.as I have too much else to put through, I need to find out if it is in fact steel to reflect Sheffileld’s history and whether anyone there knows anything about it,

The lack of information online about it was quite surprising.
