3 posts were split to a new topic: Appeal outcome question
Hereâs the sense it makes.
There are two factors involved.
First, the criterion for new waypoints has changed. Existing waypoints mostly remain unchanged even if they would no longer be accepted as new today. Yes, itâs extremely⊠âcuriousâ that the old ones that no longer fit arenât removed.
But, then, things that. no longer exist donât get removed either, even if you report them. OTOH, a lot of things get removed for what appear to be capricious reasons.
Second, wayfaring is crowd sourced. Like many things crowd sourced, that means thereâs absolutely no consistently or continuity whatsoever. You can be rejected one day and the same submission another day will be accepted. You might expect some consistency or logic but thatâs what youâd get from a consistent or logical system. What we have is crowd sourced and itâs mostly neither.
I completely agree with youâIâm equally frustrated. Itâs disheartening to see how quickly people criticize without offering any real help in getting nominations approved. While we shouldnât follow the crowd when itâs heading in the wrong direction, itâs exhausting to witness unfair nominations being accepted, especially when decisions are driven by local community voting. If there were a better way to connect with these local community members, it might be far more productive than engaging in endless, unhelpful arguments. Frankly, many participants often come across as hypocritical. Though most will deny it.
FYI, this hasnât been released yet for Android, per the Google Play store. Google Play still has version 2.161.1, with last update being Feb 22nd, 2025.
Android is usually a day or two behind in terms of updates for Ingress compared to iOS so shouldnât be long.
Still info that should be provided, as not to cause confusion.
