Hello I have a friend who submitted a POI last week.
It has been more than 56 hours and it is still isn’t uplodaded to the game, I have found that in it’s own unique cell.
does someone have an idea why it wasn’t updated?
Edit: from my understand this isn’t a synchronization problem, as another wayspot was uploaded and added yesterday.

There’s a Wayspot that is already live in Pogo that exists in the same cell.
Whilst Niantic / Scopely won’t confirm how placement works, you may want to have a look at https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/ which will give you some idea of how the placement works based on our understanding.
Oh thanks, thought they were on different cells duo to them not appearing as pokestops.

I didn’t tought wayspots counted for that, I thought they could exist in addition to pokestop (as long as they have minimal distance of 20m).
The minimal distance of 20m was for Ingress portals. Now Ingress has nothing to do with Wayfarer. There is probably still a lot of outdated information out there.
The minimum distance no longer applies to Pogo. As long as they are in different cells, they will appear as Pokestops or Gyms… However, if there is a 22m gap, it is believed that if it exists in the same cell, it could become a powerspot.

The only thing in that cell (in game) is a power spot that for my knowledge can be placed there?
If the Wayspot is in an existing Cell of another Wayspot that happens to be a Gym or a Pokestop, the new Wayspot can become a Powerspot, but it isn’t guaranteed.
I believe staff may need to reinforce the inclusion rules here. It seems like this Wayspot is behaving like a gym for that cell, even though it isn’t a gym.
