We appreciate the engagement but we try to stay positive in this forum, remember there is real people behind these submissions, there is no need to shame their efforts.
Wait a minute. I simply asked someone to guess what the nomination was for. Do you think there is any reason to shame this nomination?
Let’s not play mind games or get us to answer that to for your agenda.
If you have legitimate reviewing questions, please feel free to post including full details of the nomination.
Thanks!
The way you phrased this question made it appear that shaming was your intent to me as well. If you would like feedback on whether this photo is acceptable for the point of interest being submitted, we would need more information than just the out of context photo.
If you are seeking reviewing help, please use the appropriate category Reviewing Support. You will also need to include all the relevant details like Title, description, supporting information as well as both photos.
Do you have any connection to this nomination? I can’t imagine how I could have shamed you if this is your first comment on this thread. I don’t need help reviewing the nomination. I just asked someone to guess what the nomination is for. Nothing more. If you have any other ideas on how to pose the question so that I can see the community’s guesses, please suggest them.
Excuse me for chipping in my own opinion, but other people have been suggesting you should provide further detail about the nomination if you want to help with a review.
I don’t think a normal person seeking to help would be posting an out-of-context nomination with no(or I says, hiding) Title nomination, aloneside with other detail like supporting information.
And what is your intention or end product of this question, how would it bring any value to the end?
I never said you were trying to shame me. I don’t believe it is appropriate to make a post to ask people what they think is being nominated.
Perhaps I misunderstood this phrase, as English is not my native language. I apologize.
You have already emphasized my intentions:
I do not intend to disclose information about the nomination object. If you don’t want to make guesses, no one is forcing you to participate.
Both in the context of the fact that no one should care whether any nomination is accepted as a result of the vote or not, in the voting system it is only required to vote, and in the context of this question no one should worry about the results.
If you want to answer the question, then answer it. If you don’t, skip it.
If the question violates any platform rules, I want to know which ones.
As was said in the first reply, we try to stay positive on this forum. There is no specific prohibition against posting a nomination and asking people to guess what it is for, but it does not feel like that kind of post is in the spirit of these guidelines: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/guidelines
We do love to help though, when we can.
I never paid attention, however…
Please avoid:
Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
This may be another translation issue. We have all replied to the content of your post. We have all kept the tone civil.
Why then does everyone try to find some kind of bad intent and call the question inappropriate?
Why can’t you provide your real intent instead of hiding behind smoke?
The circle closed. We began to answer questions with questions. ![]()
Having reviewed this topic.
Inviting people to guess what has been submitted is clearly setting out the atmosphere of a game based on a really nomination which looks as though it is currently on voting. This is in my opinion not respectful.
If you had wished this to be a positive post you could have set this out as an educational opportunity giving some text to explain, perhaps cropping the picture to show a better presentation. If the issue was around what had been nominated then you have written some text considering why someone might think this was ok and perhaps if appropriate finding ways of describing it better. if it was an issue about a tricky assessment that could have been discussed.
As this topic has not progressed I will close it to further discussion.
