Gym Allocation Not Updated After Sponsored Gym Was Added

Hello Niantic Support,

I would like to report what appears to be an issue with Gym allocation in one of our S2 cells.

Cell location: 36.623403, 127.460320

This S2 cell contains more than 20 eligible Wayspots that are not located in the same Level 17 S2 cells, excluding sponsored PokéStops and Gyms. Therefore, the cell should qualify for three regular Gyms.

However, a sponsored 7-Eleven Gym was created before the cell reached the threshold for three regular Gyms. As a result, the cell currently has only two regular Gyms in addition to the sponsored Gym.

It appears that the regular Gym allocation was never recalculated after the sponsored Gym was added, even though the cell now meets the requirements for a third regular Gym.

Could you please review this S2 cell and refresh or recalculate the Gym allocation if necessary?

Unfortunately the bad news is that this is simply how it works.
The sponsored gym is simply counted as one of the gyms in that Level 14 cell. So you don’t get another gym spawning.
If the sponsorship ends and that gym goes at that point if the cell has enough pints then it will trigger a gym.
