Local park near me had about half the POIs removed in the last few days. The ones removed are all in safe areas, still exist, and there has been no issues with the park and players (that I’m aware of). What could cause such a thing and is it possible to get them back?
Welcome to the forum. We would need the location to better assist you.
Be aware that Scopely seems to have reduced the distance you can see on the nearby to try to mitigate all the crashing reported lately. If you just can’t see them on your nearby now, it may be that.
For the location would it be just saying the park’s name and city or do I need longitude and latitude?
I haven’t noticed decreased distance, can still see everything else around me normally, though when I click on the pokemon of mine in that disappeared gym I can see it, but then it vanishes.
Park name with city (and state) should let us see the wayfarer map there.
Dudley Park, Willowick, Ohio
Previously I was able to see all 12/13 POIs, but now things like the volleyball courts are just gone, along with the pool/spray park gym.
I am actually going to illustrate with the pokemongo.com map. Is this the right park?
These all look live from that map. Go there in person and check.
Yes, that is the correct park, and based on those maps all of the POIs are there. That is strange why those I assumed missing would be gone on the screen when much farther ones are visible.
Let us know if you get there and they aren’t actually live.
I saw someone post somewhere that I didn’t save that you can see the old distance this way:
Went to settings, turned on advance graphics, reloaded game, now I can see the full distance again (I lost sight of 5 gyms with the reduced distance)
I haven’t tried that but I made a note in case I needed it.
