Help me understand how to improve this nomination

This nomination was rejected. I’ve reread the criteria, and I don’t understand why it would be rejected.

Title: Palm Street
Description: This palm tree lined walkway is traversed by graduates each spring as they parade to the stadium for graduation ceremony. During the year it is used by numerous pedestrians traveling across campus.
Supplemental Information: Palm Street is part of the university’s infrastructure for moving people around campus to important locations. It passes the Holland Centennial Commons, the Encampment Mall, and the Burns Arena. It ends at the Greater Zion Stadium. It’s part of the “Human Highway” on campus.

Unfortunately you’ll struggle to get a street accepted even if it is used as a human highway which to be honest sounds awful.

Is there nothing else nearby on campus that you think may be eligible?

I would struggle to support this nomination. I don’t know how this street would be a great place to socialise or exercise, or what the history of the street would be. Sorry.

Thank you for the feedback.

The primary concern is that my description doesn’t demonstrate this is a great place for exploration, exercise or socializing.

Maybe if my description explained that this is a unique location on the footpath system connecting campus locations, and is used as a jogging path? Nah, probably not.

Thanks again.

Hi @GetsuFractal
Does the human highway have different sections? Like a trail?
Maybe you could, if it exist, try to nominate sections of this. What can a visitor explore at this part?

I could argue a point that the road I live on is listed in the Doomsday Book (which is indirectly true). However, it is a reach at best. If there’s something significant that would encourage people to congregate at that specific location, I would need to be sold on the idea.

It definitely seems like it’s just basic infrastructure that allows people to walk from place to place, like any sidewalk. I would venture to guess that most campuses have similar large sidewalks for their students to go from place to place.
If you want to nominate something, I would suggest looking for interesting points of interest along the sidewalk, but I would probably not try to improve this particular nomination.
