Title: Trụ Cột Nghệ Thuật Hoa và Lá (Artistic Flower and Leaf Utility Pole)
Location: 11.839738, 106.995379
Description: An official hand-painted artwork on a utility pole to beautify the street.
Rejection Reasons: “Abuse” and “Private Residence”.
2. Why the Rejection is FALSE:
Claim: “Abuse”
Fact: This is a painting of Flowers and Leaves. It contains absolutely no hate speech, offensive content, or abuse. Selecting this reason is clearly malicious.
Claim: “Private Residence”
Fact: The object is a Public Utility Pole located on the public sidewalk (pedestrian path). While it stands in front of a house, it is public infrastructure, totally separate from the private fence.
3. Crucial Evidence (Official Government Project): This artwork is NOT random graffiti. It is part of the official project “New Clothes for Utility Poles” organized by the Phuoc Long Town Youth Union (local government organization).
4. Report on Malicious Reviewing Behavior: I have noticed a pattern in my local area where valid, high-quality nominations (especially official art projects and businesses) are systematically rejected with incorrect reasons like “Abuse”, “Fake”, or “Private Residence”.
The rejection reason “Abuse” for a simple Flower Painting is a clear indicator that some reviewers are weaponizing the report button to grief legitimate players.
This is not an isolated incident. I have witnessed a pattern of absurd rejections, such as:
Thank you for your support.
I have resubmitted those nominations and am not including them in this appeal. However, I am specifically reporting the “Flower Utility Pole” nomination because selecting “Abuse” for a simple flower painting is not just a bad review—it is malicious intent to harm my account standing.
(I am not fluent in English and have used translation tools to express my points clearly. Thank you for your understanding)
Since wayfarer is reviewed by players like us, sometimes mistake happen. Unfortunately, this is just how it work now.You can appeal those incorrectly reviewed nomination.you have 2 appeal, each with 15 days cooldown. If appeal got rejected, you can resubmit with better evidence or post in forum for staff check. But before you appeal, make sure you get all fact , picture, and coordinate checked. Its quite common to make mistake by taking 3rd party photo or missplacement of wayspot submission.
Thank you for your advice, I have double-checked the location, and I took the photo myself, I am worried that this false flag will negatively impact my account standing and get me banned, especially with major Pokémon GO events coming up. I need to clear this record to keep my account safe. That is why I cannot just simply ‘resubmit’ and ignore it
A rejected wayspot submission has absolutely no impact on your account, unless you get a follow-up email saying that you have a warning for something.
Do you have any follow-up emails after the rejection?
The “Abuse” rejection narrative can be flagged for a nomination for any of the following reasons
* The photo is not yours (e.g., taken from streetview, found on another website)
* The text itself is abusive
* The nomination is controversial and likely to be offensive (e.g., a mural of terrorists)
* Another nomination was abusive and all of yours have been flagged as a consequence
* The wayspot location pin is misplaced
* The wayspot is deliberately misrepresented (e..g., on school property but pretending it isn’t)
* (there may be others)
I’m going to tag @TrungLatias for this one since they’ve experienced this kind of thing a lot with these kinds of nominations, and might have some really good advice for you
A rejection isnt a warning, so you’re okay for now, but I understand that its scary to feel like you’ve been warned for abuse. Hopefully this topic is helpful and you get some good advice
I’ve only submitted 2 things similar, and had 1 accepted and 1 rejected (painted lamp posts in a park). The rejected one was later accepted after someone else submitted it. I really like the flower pattern you found, and I think its much nicer than a plain pole.
Just a note here. They could be calling this abuse because you feature your bike in the supporting photo. That could be seen as identifying your nomination. I would recommend not showing personal items or body parts in the supporting photo either.
