Like, all suggestions will always appear in the evaluation for voting, and you mark if the location is appropriate, safe, accurate, permanent, and distinct, if it’s good for exercise, socializing, and exploring. And after this type of evaluation, the next evaluators enter to place the location marker in the correct place. Then, after a while, the next evaluators will evaluate if the photos meet the criteria, and after a while, the next evaluators will evaluate the best title.
Like, do the evaluations follow this ladder or is it random? Will the first evaluators evaluate and mark that information from the suggestion? Then will the next evaluators evaluate that other type of evaluation, or is it random?
Like, I sent a suggestion now, it went to voting, and the first evaluation that appears will be to select the photos that meet the criteria.
Submissions are reviewed by a certain number of people. If the first few (unknown number) all give the same result (acceptance or rejection) it is likely that it isn’t sent out to other reviewers. If the results are mixed, it will be continue to be included in the review pool.
Wayspot edits (including adding photos) and wayspot submissions are different.
For wayspot submissions, the photo is not voted on. You can’t say this photo is OK and that photo isn’t - you are voting on the entire wayspot submission. Most people don’t move the wayspot location. If someone does suggest a new location, this will not be shown to any other reviewers, as they will see the original submission location just like everyone else.
If a submission is accepted, the accepted location might not be the submission location if one or more reviewers suggested a new place, but is likely to be an average of all reviews.
I think I understand, because there are several types of reviews, right? The one about checking if it’s in the credits, the one about checking if the photo is valid or not, the one about placing the location marker on the map, and the one about choosing the best title.
In this case, these reviews that ask to see if the photos match the criteria—is this just adding a photo, not a new location per se, just adding a photo?
Wayspot submission reviewing : you are reviewing the entire wayspot to check that it meets at least one of Exercise, Social, Exploration (must be a great place for that, not just somewhere where you can do that) and does not have a rejection element (fake photo, blatantly wrong location, on school property etc).
Wayspot edit reviews : you are just evaluating what is presented to you, which might be location, photos, title or description. If asked to evaluate photos, you just flag the ineligible photos.
For wayspot edits, if you think the entire wayspot is a problem (e.g., fake or stolen), you have to use something else to report it, such as going to the map and reporting it from there or using help chat.
For wayspot photo reviews, you are saying whether each photo is of the wayspot and doesn’t have a red flag (very low quality, people, licence plates, obvious markers of the wayfarer etc).
Exactly. When you get a review that is just a photo or just a title then those are actually edits to an existing waypoint. Someone found a waypoint with a bad photo and is trying to add a better photo. In the early days you weren’t required to add a description so some edits only have one choice. Same with import waypoints. They were created with no photo so when someone tries to add one you are voting photo or blank spot.
