I get it, restaurant is hard to get approved than the life of coffee, because more often people will invite you for a coffee or a tea, but this make no sense for me how a restaurant with a great google review(500+ reviews 4 stars), hosting party, birthday and have hang out room with air-condition, with a menu that serve goat meat is not enough and not convincing to be “significant”?

How can I even add more context on why this is significant for local community?
Some restaurants have websites which will provide extra context.
I actually don’t feel that 4.0 stars on google reviews is that high. I wouldn’t consider submitting anything below 4.0, but even 4.0 is a bit dubious when restaurants are so common that you need a solid reason to pick one over another.
I think for some context, we have two type of restaurant:
Normal eatary: They are “small & normal restaurant”, that usually company by only 1-2 person to get into eating. They are like “Cơm Tấm X Name” or “Bún X Name”. Those are usually not the one I would submit because they are mostly a place to eat. They are not even have a review unless it is a tourist place.
Big restaurant: size like this, always gathering by a group of people. If you did check google review rarely people will go by one person. They are also offering specialized meal you wont find in a normal restaurant like goat meat. They are also a center to host party and birthday, which if you translated the image, it will show “Host Party and Birthday”. Also obviously they won’t have a website because how good it is , is translated by the mouth of local. Noone gonna check the website of the restaurant and decided “ah I am going to this restaurant”, especially in a less tourist place, or a fully local place.
I’m not that picky. As long as the restaurant is not a chain with hundreds of stores I’m likley to accept. Even then if the supporting info is good I may consider it. The whole purpose of a restaurant is to encourage socialization like a gym encourages exercise.
Technically, any restaurant which can seat more than one person and where couples and groups go could meet socialisation criteria. Not even just the well-reviewed ones. They just aren’t widely accepted by the community (and it definitely makes a difference when there are other restaurants nearby).
Which is true, hence why I provided why this place have this feature, that feature, why is it worth to visit. Obviously I will not submit any restaurant I encounter and I need to do research to submit what I think it is the most eligible.
My observations (based on what I see from others) and my own experience is that Niantic appeals reviewers often don’t like restaurants.
You may already have done so… but I would have included their website as well as anything I could find to show they’ve been around a long time and supports it being unusual. I expect that reviewers won’t do their own research. From what I’ve seen here this seems unusual enough to have been an easy approval.
Why is the goat menu a big deal? Is that not a normal menu item in your area? Remember that appeal reviewers are not from your country, so they don’t automatically know these things. Goat is not a popular source of meat in the US, but I’ve always thought it was fairly popular outside the US.
I love submitting cafes and restaurants. I think they are specifically designed to be places to socialise at - otherwise they would be a takeaway or a drive thru, or have individual tables! So I do believe that wayfarer has traditionally set the bar far too high. If I would go there myself, meet a friend or suggest it as a venue, then I’m happy to submit it. Places do not need to have won awards to be a great place to socialise. For me the awards or ratings link to explore, but socialise is an easier bar for a restaurant to reach.
This is one of the few gray area issues where we disagree. I don’t think a place you simply can eat with a friend is a great place of exercise, exploration, or being social.
