Sorry to cut in like this i know its not the topic but since you mentioned the way it was rejected I was wondering while reviewing (because I’ve been coming across weird stuff and i don’t know under what to reject it) when you really feel like its isn’t a eligible wayspot. Like just a regular street sign, regular traffic signs like a stop sign or maximum speed sign. Or just a piece of grass, someone’s treadmill in his living room, or a child’s drawing on the fridge. I often choose unsafe for the traffic signs when they are on the road, or the private residence if you see its in a house. But how to reject graffiti for example i know half of the wayspots in Belgrade are graffiti, some got painted over so they don’t exist anymore but are still in the game. So if it’s just a tag on the side of a building i choose its not permanent (because city council will eventually give orders to paint over most of them) but i accept murals that obviously took time and i expect that the owner of the building maybe even paid someone to do it. Like in memoriam for a deceased person, a famous person because i expect that it will be around longer and think its actually a poi. But how to reject something that’s too general like a regular street sign or a one in a million trash cans, just a picture of a slab of concrete (even with a lengthy explanation how important that piece of sidewalk is) which categorie to choose. I for example had something rejected as not permanent. It was a tree stump made in to a fairy house, with a roof Windows and even curtains. Its been there for years, ok i understand someone not deeming it special enough, but it has roots so it isn’t something easily moved. After a year since my nomination its still there so i understand op’s stand on rejection based on sensitive area (can’t remember the right wording) maybe had it been rejected under blurry picture or bad explanation he would try better at the next nomination. Getting rejected under the wrong category is kind of frustrating and demotivating. But being honest i know a lot of Pokémon players review just for the platinum medal they don’t care if you put in time and effort in your nomination, or if it could be the only way spot in miles they just rush through reviews.
Hi
these are good questions.
I am going to create a separate topic for this in Reviewing support so that we can discuss and help.
Scopely Explore have previously said that if you want to reject a submission you must reject for either Appropriate, Safe, Accuracy or Permanent and Distinct.
Just thumbing down for Exercise, Social and Exploration does not reject the submission.
Of these options, choose “Not Permanent and Distinct” for garbage submissions that are safely accessible and do exist.
