Hi, I have a general question to the staff on how to handle a poi.
The poi is rather old and the case is as following: we have a building amalgamation which mixes a city theatre and a secondary school with a lot of theatre influence. The theatre and the school are visually distinct and they have opposed entrances. Now the theatre is existing as a poi, but the pictures (more than one) all are using the older building part, which would belong to the school. Therefore the location of the theatre poi is on the school side of the buildings. Since this is wrong, should we try to move the poi to its actual location and exchange the pictures? Or is there a different way?

You have to be very careful, as there is a school involved. This isn’t changed by the wayspot already existing.
If this theatre is on the school grounds, even if it is publicly accessible, it is not eligible.
If it is part of the same complex, but there is clear distinction (and land boundaries) between the school and the theatre, then it is probably OK.
If the wayspot is definitely for the theatre (i.e., named after it) and definitely not part of the school, then I would go for correcting the location first. If you are confident of the separation, I would use help chat (or similar) to explain the move and why it is correct, as it is probably more than 10m.
Based on my personal experiences, what I would do in these circumstances is to report the original wayspot for removal on the basis of being on school grounds, and nominate the theatre as a new wayspot.
It is likely to end up being quicker and easier than the alternatives.
