A legitimate stop was removed Saturday. I resubmitted it but received this message: “Following a report and an internal investigation performed by our team, we have confirmed that the content you contributed on 8/2/26, 8:47:11 PM UTC is violating one or more policies. We have taken action against it. Triple Creek Nature Trail, Arlington entrance. Policy Violated: Fake submissions.”
Absolutely not fake. How do I prove this and get the violation penalty removed? This is an established nature trail that is well used and maintained by an HOA. I suspect that someone drove by in a car, didn’t see the trail head, and decided it didn’t exist. But I noted in the application that you cannot see the entrance from your car, you have to get out and walk across the grass to get to the trail head. You can’t see it on Google maps because it is covered with trees. What do I do? I cannot find my original submission, so I can’t attach it. I am more interested in getting the violation rescinded than in adding the stop, although it would be nice to have the stop back. PS I am old (84) and not computer savvy.

What kind of documentation would work? Maybe a letter from the HOA?

A video which starts from somewhere that can be tied to streetview and then progresses towards the location in question is always good evidence of something, even better if you can include anything that indicates this is a new video and not one from years ago.

Nope. That is somewhere in Florida. Same name, though.
They definitely state that there is a trail. Photos that have the GPS embedded would confirm the actual location.
Lot’s of people suggest other ways to send the photos as uploading to the forum strips this data. As you say you are not computer savvy you could use a free app on your phone called “GPS Map Camera”, this overlays the gps data on to the photo.
I would also suggest getting the location from the 1st email you receive after nominating, this will confirm that the location you used wasn’t a mistake.

This is Apple maps, but it isn’t very useful because of all the trees. See the silvery/blue fireplug in the grass in front of the dark car? If you go down and left from there, the trail head is under the dark shadow, then it weaves through the trees past the 1800’s cemetery and then joins up with the other trails.
Okay this is NOT evidence, but may point you where to look. A Zillow listing for the areas mentions trails.

Can you check with the home owners association or similar to get a listing of these trails?

i don’t think there is a map or list of the trails. they were made in around 2006 when the subdivision was built. I can ask the HOA, but they are very slow to respond (weeks)
Honestly, I don’t really care too much about this specific pokestop. What I care about is being accused of a violation when I didn’t cheat.
