I rejected under accuracy as zero evidence given for why it should be a pokestop. So supporting description was poor…
But should I have just thumbed down the great place to socialise, exercise or explore?
Thoughts please

Short answer, those 3 thumbs down do not reject nomination. Sometimes reviewers can pick different reason to reject, but strict “does not meet criteria” rejection does not work. As mentioned in the recent AMA answer, the wayfarer team is working on a fix.
Longer answer, there was a suggestion to reject low quality nominations using “not permanent or not distinct” reason, but often it was applied to nominations both permanent and visually distinct, which led to confusion and the AMA question above.
I would love this choice back after I have chosen all three
"'The object is mass-produced, generic, or not visually unique or interesting. “”
Good to hear they are doing something. Should be fairly simple to implement. I think it is why a lot of stuff is still getting through.
Oh well. Onwards ![]()
Houses estate signs are not automatic rejections. If you don’t know how to reject something, try using “skip”.
Rejecting something for not being accurate, despite being accurate is: lying. This creates confusion to the submitter and creates distrust within the community.
But of course, if a sign is a great place to explore, exercise, or socialize, it can be accepted,
Exactly! That’s why the wayfarer team said in AMA they plan to fix it.
Right now, I downvote on Permanent and Distinct, as that is less likely to cause confusing like a downvote on Appropriate>Generic Business. Once the review process has been updated, I’d say a downvote on Permanent and Distinct is the best way to go, as that’s how I reject these.
If you provide zero evidence in your supporting material except to say housing estate. I ain’t accepting as there is zero attempt to tell me why it should be accepted according to criteria
It is therefor not an accurate nomination in my view. Calling me a lier for doing so - is your choice …
I do see where you going but I am not lying. I think your point of creating ambiguity for the nominator is way more important..
But that can join the multitude of reasons that could do that!!!
I agree with DTrain that I could use not distinct either. Permanent sure. But not permanent and distinct.
If Niantic come up with a selection of why we downvoted the three greats then that is way cool too. So I hope @holdthebeer is right ![]()
The housing estate sign appears to be on the property boundary line of a single-family private residential property (SFPRP).
I believe that on this basis alone, the nomination should have been rejected.
Not distinct.
When I see nominations like this I often see other poor or fake wayspots in the area. I have reported these signs before and they are very difficult to get removed, but they should never be accepted IMO.
More and more I just answer the questions I’m given on the Review screen. Re-reading the various guidance gets boring. No need to worry about ‘rejecting’ a spot. That’s done collectively based on everyone’s answers to the questions.
