How to report a Pokestop in game if you can't get close enough to it?

I noticed a new Pokestop near me that is in someone’s backyard on private property. There is no public path/trail to access it. Since I can’t get close enough in the game to report it, what is the correct way? Thank you in advance for your guidance.

you can report it from the wayfarer website. Although its hard to be taken seriously on just the web. And you cant submit photos here. After you try that, you can also create an appeal post on the forum if it gets ignored. Theres an appeal flair you can add to forum posts

I’ve reported wayspots a long way away from me using the Report button on the wayfarer map. Some successes, some failures.

I literally just got an (accepted) location report that was done on Wayfarer from 20 km away. I was reviewing over the weekend and got one that was both an ineligible location (school) AND a duplicate (already in game) so I went and found the old one and reported it. Acceptance email dated five minutes ago as I type.

I do long distance for a bunch of disc golf baskets (I don’t bother with the beginning of holes) cause I’m annoyed by them. Not a single success there. But was able to get 1 removed which simply didn’t exist in the supporting photo that made it through lol.

You can also use this route

It is a recognised method. If you do the advice is to ignore the references to property owner, and the automatic email that is generated when you submit. A subsequent email will be from a member of the team.
You can use it to report multiple on one form.

This is a common problem. Disc golf wayspots don’t get removed when they are reported, but if you then post here, Niantic tend to remove them. There appears to be a mismatch in knowledge, since Niantic have clearly indicate multiple wayspots for one disc golf course should be considered duplicates (as well as some being unsafe).

I have had “decent” success with Help Chat. They occasionally get things wrong such as when I explained that I was unable to do a Title Edit (spelling mistake) in app as I was unable to get to it (members only) and got the reply that I needed to do it in app.
