Punishments can be appealed if there has been a genuine error and the wayfarer team got something wrong. In this case they didn’t get something wrong, hence why your appeal has been rejected. You have quite clearly broken the rules.
Even if they were able to do that (which they’ve already said they can’t), that wouldn’t necessarily do anything to alter the suspension you’ve got for this incident. They have the power to skip steps on the punishment ladder depending on what abuse was committed, so even if you hadn’t have had your first warning, it might well have been the case that what you did to earn this punishment would always have resulted in a 30 day suspension anyway.
I suggest that after your suspension is over, if you feel like you want to continue using wayfarer (I get that a lot of people are cautious after getting a suspension), you make sure that you properly read the rules, and if you’re not sure about anything, you are always welcome to ask questions here and we as a community can try to give you guidance, because we are in fact a nice bunch of people and we like to try to help educate where we can ![]()
I can sympathise that it must be disheartening to miss out on Go Fest, but you did break the rules, so you have to accept that and hopefully learn from what you did.
